CONTINENTAL TECHNIQUE Lesson 7.6.1
Working in rounds: Full circle
Cast on 50 stitches using both ends of the needleFree up one end of the needle.
Secure this end with needle protector to prevent stitches from sliding.Pull other
end of the needle so that all stitches are in the middle of the cord Distribute
all stitches along the cord
Bend both ends of the needle into a circle. Both tips of the needle should look
like you have 2-double pointed needles and you are going to work back and forthPlease,
check that stitches are not twisted!
Start working as if you use straight needles
After about 10-15 stitches are done, move them clockwise so that all stitches are
pushed back to the left side needle
For the first row, make sure that stitches are not twisted.
Continue working and moving stitches clockwise
Please, notice that when to move stitches depends on number of stitches.
With larger number of stitches you need less times to push
The better quality of needle you are using the smoother your motions would be |
