    Lesson 3.5: Double Crochet (DC)

Please, note the loop on the hook is counted. Some of crochet patterns do not count the loop on the hook
  • for even edges: To start new row, add 2 loops and insert the hook into 4th stitch
  • for other edges: follow the instruction
  • To continue process:
  • At the start of any stitch, you always have 1 loop on the hook
  • Wrap the yarn around the hook 1 time
  • Insert the hook into the next stitch and draw the yarn. Now you have 3 loops ( 1 loop on the hook,1 wrap & 1 draw loop)
  • Draw the yarn through each next 2 loops 2 times
  • Again you have 1 loop on the hook
  • Repeat from beginning
