    Lesson 9: Basic motifs

Usually motifs are worked in rounds starting from small circle and increasing number of stitches in each round.
Usually, number of rounds in each motif is no more then 20. Each motif is worked separately and then joined into a fabric.
Joining motifs is usually a challenge for the novice person. It is better to work with thin yarns such as DK weight so joins do not look bulky.
