CONTINENTAL TECHNIQUE Lesson 7.2.1

Working in rounds: 4 double-pointed needles

  • Prepare 4 double-pointed needles. Cast on 10 sts on two (first and second) needles
  • Take second needle off stitches and place the needle protector at the back of the needle.
  • Divide both ends of yarn and position your left thumb and index fingers as 'V' figure under each of ends of yarn.
  • Insert 2 (second and third) needles in your right hand under the yarn around the left thumb
  • Draw the yarn from the left index finger into the loop that is formed around the left thumb
  • Make sure that the first stitch on the second needle is formed very close to the last stitch on the first needle
  • Cast on another 9 sts right next to the first needle
  • Repeat the same steps for the third needle
  • Check that stitches are not twisted and connect the first and the third needles into a circle
